It's been a while...
Sorry that we haven't 'blogged' for a while... Very lax (must have been having too much fun, playing crazy golf!).
We've been back in Worcester for a fortnight since our UK trip and actually haven't had any chance for crazy golf, just a to-do list a mile long and an email inbox spilling over into cyber space.
Just a quick update on our time away... we had a fantastic month catching up with friends and family in Sheffield, London, Manchester, Alcester and Norfolk, as well as a timely week's holiday with Pete & Ro. It felt like particularly good timing to be around while Nathan's mum has been in hospital and to get to Nath's brother Joel's graduation concert (2:1, good man, who said you can't read!).
We're back in to the swing of things here (no pun intended), starting the Christmas Card range at People's Crafts and beginning to work with a couple who we are training to take on some of the youth work that we're currently leading. Their names are Jackie and Shannon and are both South Africans who speak Afrikaans. They've got a huge heart for the young people in this area and started work a couple of years ago in one of the isolated farm communities on the outskirts of Worcester. We're really excited to see home-grown leaders getting equipped and involved.
We've also had Anna Wrigley from Sheffield with us since June. She's staying with us and has come with lots of great ideas and initiatives for youth work in particular. Anna's here for another five weeks and has already had a massive impact, helping us all to take it to the 'Next Level'!
Thanks to everyone who spent time with us and encouraged us while we were in the UK and since we've re-entered South African life... As always we really appreciate you.
We promise it won't be so long until the next entry.
